Tim Griffin
E-RYT-500
Tim's teaching emphasizes the primacy of breath, the cultivation of a moving meditative state, stability, enduring strength, and function over form. He considers sound, and silence, to be a key part of his classes as well as a sense of humor for the tough bits. He encourages his students to practice self-compassion while on the mat and a whole-hearted approach to living beyond it.
Tim's study of yoga started in the Ashtanga/Vinyasa tradition but soon widened to incorporate learning from many styles of meditation and movement. He feels especially aligned with the traditions of Himalayan Institute and Viniyoga. He is certified E-RYT with well over 1000 hours of formal training in yoga, meditation, shamanism, mantra and other approaches to human movement and health. He is also a certified personal trainer and health coach. His formal study of the body/mind connection is ongoing and ever-expanding.

Chrissy Vaccaro
E-RYT-200, REIKI MASTER
Chrissy began her yoga journey in her early twenties, eventually coming to teach in 2014. Journeying deeper into yoga and holistic healing modalities, such as herbalism and energy work, she gained a new sense of connection and expansion, with a better understanding of the self. As a student, she is endlessly curious about movement, patterns, and the energy we cultivate in our lives. A scientist by trade, her fascination and desire to explore only increases with time. As a teacher, she aims to share her healing practices with her students in a holistic and nurturing way, honoring their rich origins, while also empowering the individual to explore, be present, and to honor the self as part of the greater whole. Francie O'Brien
RYT-200
As a tomboy who grew up in Gloucester Massachusetts, Francie’s love of movement began in her early childhood. In 2002, she found yoga at Yoga for Health with Janet Green Garrison. She loved it immediately. Unsurprisingly, Francie was first drawn to yoga for its physical benefits. But over time, her practice became an expression of her truest self and a way for her to nurture her emotional wellbeing. Francie completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Treetop Yoga Studio with Annakathryn Carlson. She has a genuine love of the body’s capabilities, loves being upside-down, arm balances, and getting lost in the music during a vinyasa flow class. She has felt the power of silence in a room full of practitioners. Francie is honored to be a part of the Earthly Bodies community where building connections with others allows us to show up, be seen, and share a love for yoga together.

Madison Biondo
RYT-200, REIKI MASTER
Madison found yoga at 19. She was first drawn to yoga for physical reasons only; moving the body, building heat, and breaking a sweat. The more she began to practice the more she noticed the impact yoga had on her mind, leaving each class feeling clear and calm. This is the feeling that ultimately brought her back to the mat each time. She found that linking breath with movement opens space for a deeper connection to oneself and creates room to transform not only physically but mentally and spiritually. That is the experience she aims to cultivate in her classes.
“I took my 200hr training with Annakathryn with no intentions of ever teaching, I just wanted to deepen my personal practice and learn more. Shortly into the training I realized if I can create and share this experience with others then there is nothing that brings me more joy, purpose or passion.”

Pat Matthews
RYT-200
Pat’s appreciation for movement began as a child in southwestern Pennsylvania near the Laurel Highland Mountains, where she felt a connection of her mind and body by being in nature with her horses. During her 40 year career as a psychotherapist and child victim services investigator, yoga became a sanctuary to release stress and trauma from her work. She found the same empowerment through yoga as she experienced running with the horses as a child. Pat began teaching in 2022, after completing Annakathryn Carlson’s 200 hour YTT. In her classes, Pat strives to foster empowerment and peace by combining the benefits of stress release through movement, the healing power of pranayama, and the safety and support of the community built by practicing together.

She completed her 200 hour training at Boston Yoga Union and her teaching and practice are rooted in Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Rasa yoga. In her classes she loves to find a balance of playful movement and stillness by incorporating a fluid flow and approach where people feel safe to explore movement in a way that feels good in their body, mind, and spirit.
