300 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
STEP OUTSIDE THE BOX.
Developed by Annakathryn, this advanced yoga training explores movement though the bio-psycho-social model of human health. Our health is composed of our physical body (genetics, chemistry, nervous system, immune responses) mental state (childhood, past experiences, beliefs) and social connections (family, friends, relationships, community). Each influences the other, and to understand health you must consider all three.
The mantra of our approach is “know what you’re doing and why”. Together we will deconstruct the “box” and reconstruct through the study of somatics, functional alignment, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics. Delve deep into yoga philosophy and our role as teachers of embodiment, and discuss how these incorporeal philosophical ideas can not be divorced from the scientific study of the human body. This training will spark inquiry, demanding critical thinking and discernment, giving you the tools to be an exceptional teacher of yoga.
